DRV Staffing quoted in Law.com article

DRV Staffing founder Daniel Vahab was just quoted in a Law.com article entitled "As AI Frays Job Security for Early Career In-House Lawyers, Many Eye Law Firm Openings."

"Under normal circumstances, this would be a time Microsoft would be expanding its legal department, not shrinking it. After all, the company has been growing at a torrid rate, with revenue doubling since 2020, and it’s pumping billions of dollars into AI investments and AI infrastructure to stoke even faster growth."

“You would think they would have to hire more in-house counsel versus the opposite, but they're doing the opposite because of AI disruption,” said Daniel Vahab, founder of DRV Staffing in Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

He added, “Microsoft’s round of layoffs was hugely significant. Obviously, Microsoft is one of the biggest companies in the world, one of the biggest brands in the world, and to basically lay off a significant proportion of their internal in-house legal team, it's even more significant because Microsoft is a leading company in terms of AI itself. So it's very obvious that AI would have a factor in making that decision."
