Daniel Vahab, the founder at DRV Staffing, was quoted in a 3rd article with Law.com. The article was entitled, "For Legal Talent, Remote Flexibility Carries Compensation-Level Value."
As the article notes: "Daniel Vahab, a legal recruiter at DRV Staffing in Port St. Lucie, Florida, said he's seen attorneys accept pay cuts of more than 10% in order to achieve better work-life balance. Flexibility, he said, remains one of the most powerful recruiting tools available to employers."
“It is definitely a selling point on par with compensation, and in some cases even more important than compensation,” he told Law.com. “I’ve definitely had candidates decline interviews, or even frankly, turn down the offers because of lack of flexibility of return-to-office policies.”
"He recalled one candidate who said no to an Am Law top 25 firm because of its on-site policy, even though the position offered higher compensation and a more prestigious title."
"For some attorneys, Vahab said, office-attendance requirements are about more than logistics. They can be viewed as a reflection of an employer’s culture.
“If they're not flexible on that front, it's a culture question, and then it's also a trust question, like, ‘do you not trust me to get my stuff done at home?’” he said."
